Karl Lagerfeld left fans of his eponymous label no shortage of options with his new collection - his first ever fashion jewellery collection for the brand. Diamanté cat earrings (miaow Choupette), chain-link chokers (bonjour Lily Rose Depp), and “Karl” pinkie rings featuring his famous silhouette, all in silver-plated, gold-plated and gunmetal finishes make up the initial collection which split into three groups: Ikonic, Klassic Karl and Essentials. It’s licensed by Swarovski Group, so suitably sparkly.
The trend has been spotted on the menswear runways this season. Dior Homme showed men in blazers with nothing underneath, while Ann Demeulemeester saw one model striding down the runway in a floral blouse that was completely unbuttoned. At Études the look took on a workwear vibe (think, overalls and a bare chest). Off the runway, British heartthrob Harry Styles has embraced the look, letting his long hair graze his collarbone in louche, unfastened shirts.
NARS and Christopher Kane are back at it again with a second makeup collaboration, which was unveiled at Kane’s SS18 runway in London. The collection consists of one lipstick in a holographic nude pink shade and one shimmery eyeshadow palette with soft nude, rose gold, light pink, bright yellow and dark gray shades. Look to Kane’s runway beauty look for ideas on how to recreate that sheer glow on yourself.
“Will & Grace,” the hit NBC sitcom that ran from 1998to 2006, is back, picking up in the present day (ignoring that 20-years-forward series finale even exists). In the reboot, Will (Eric McCormack) still lives with his single interior designer BFF Grace (Debra Messing). Struggling actor neighbor Jack still bursts into the apartment sans knocking (and avoiding doorbells like the millennial he probably wants to be), and Karen still throws out those snarky observations and just-offensive-enough commentary.
If you’re looking for a Halloween costume that’s affordable, easily sexy-fied, politically minded yet inoffensive, instantly recognizable, and in serious danger of being no longer topical by the time Halloween rolls around, well, look no further — sexy costume staple brand Yandy’s got you covered. The infamous lingerie retailer, purveyor of such tasteful and everlasting classics as Sexy Harry Potter, Sexy Donald Trump, and Sexy Minion has made another winner with the Sexy Fake News costume.
So far this year, Zara has opened the biggest store in the UK yet, launched a sustainable range to die for, and announced plans for a documentary revealing all the ins and outs of the store. You’d think that’d be enough to keep the brains behind the brand busy, but they’ve actually been working on what might be the most exciting Zara venture yet: self service checkouts. Yep, really. Zara unveiled their plans to start trialling said checkouts earlier this year, but they’d only reached Spanish stores until now.
Solange Knowles is known to make a splash on any scene with her trademark take on politically-changed pop and collective of brushed-up kinks and statement brows, but today found the artist infusing Maryam Nassir Zadeh’s Spring 2018 runway with her ethereal voice as well as a revamped above-neck aesthetic. Rather than dressing up her onyx curls with pops of pigment at eye-level, the performer opted to switch her signatures in favor of a mane of woven peroxide.
As New York Fashion Week draws to a close, we’ve analysed every catwalk so far and narrowed down NY spring/summer 2018 offering to the following. Polished Asymmetry Hemlines first started zig-zagging in spring/summer 2017 and if the New York shows are anything to go by, the reign of the hanky skirt isn’t over yet. The Nineties staple was seen at 3.1 Phillip Lim, where it was rendered less Ibiza hippie and more Uptown cool in white embroidered cotton, graphic stripes and navy pinstripes on mid-length skirts paired with matching tops and floaty spaghetti strap dresses.
Just when you thought rosé was on its way out, fashion came to the rescue. Public School has teamed up with Moët & Chandon to design three limited-edition bottles of Moët Nectar Impérial Rosé, which just so happens to be the best-selling rosé Champagne in the U.S. Designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osbourne have put their signature high fashion streetwear twist on the classically elegant Moët bottle design. Inspired by the classic leather jacket, the bottle features a chic matte black foundation, while the larger Magnum and Jeroboam bottles feature actual fine black leather and hidden designs you can only see when the bottle is illuminated.
It’s the first Miu Lady pop-up in Southeast Asia. Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s grand staircase has been transformed with a pink carpet leading to Miu Miu’s pop-up installation, featuring three giant bejewelled Miu Lady bags. The exhibition allows guests to explore the craftsmanship involved in designing the bags; we won’t have to remind you about the photo opportunities that await you. Made from fine madras leather and soft calfskin, the Miu Lady comes in a palette of bright, cheerful pastel hues like pink and blue as well as warm tones like brown and beige.

Hypebeast meets high fashion as Vans announced a collaboration with Chanel creative director/fashion forefather, Karl Lagerfeld. After the skate wear brand made the big announcement last week, ELLE UK published an exclusive first look at the collection yesterday. Monochrome seems to be the theme of the collection with black-and-white checkerboard slip-ons (the pattern is actually a mosaic of Karl’s iconic profile!) and T-shirts with the collaboration logo. WWD reports that the capsule collection will also include five other remakes of classic Vans shoes, as well as apparel.
